Trustees
NOCN is an Awarding Organisation, recognised and regulated by the UK qualifications regulators. The Board of Trustees is looking to appoint three new trustees and is particularly seeking additional expertise in one or more of the following areas: regulatory body operations; financial or management accounting; audit; further & adult education; commercial or business experience. For this key role you will need to demonstrate that you have enthusiasm, drive and strategic vision, that you are committed to the aims of NOCN, and have an empathy for learners particularly those returning to education and training. One of the trustees will be Chair-designate of the Board’s Regulation and Enhancement Committee. The appointments will initially be for three years, starting between April and July 2010. The posts are not paid positions but expenses are reimbursed.
Application is by letter and CV. Closing date is 5 March 2010.
We value and promote diversity and particularly want to hear from people with a disability, people from black and minority ethnic communities, women and young people who are able to make a real contribution to this charity, as these groups are currently under-represented on our Board.
