Potential Funding Sources for OCN NI Centres

In recent years we have developed a wide-ranging portfolio of national qualifications and endorsed programmes designed to meet the frequently changing demands for learning and development and the increased need for accreditation.

We are keenly aware of the real concerns caused by the ongoing pressure on resources for education and training. At this time we also note the serious questions arising for many of our approved centres from the on-going ESF process. As decisions are imminent on who will, and will not, be successful in securing ESF funding, we wanted to take this opportunity to wish you well if you have submitted an application. We hope you get a positive outcome in view of the immense stress that you, your organisation and staff will have been under.

In support of all our approved centres we also thought it useful to highlight the other new funding opportunities below and their potential to support learning and development programmes.

The Big Lottery Fund recently announced details of the £50 million Empowering Young People programme with grants of between £100,000 and £600,000 available to projects that will empower young people to transform their lives by increasing their health and well being, getting them ready for education, work or training and building stronger relationships in their communities. For more information please go to The Big Lottery website.

The SEUPB has planned a series of pre-application workshops designed ahead of the launch of the new PEACE and INTERREG PROGRAMMES in late Spring 2015. The events have been designed to support potential beneficiaries applying for funding before the Programmes are launched. For more information please click here.

We hope you find this helpful and in the mean time if there is anything we can assist with please don’t hesitate to contact the OCN NI office on 028 90463990.
